Re: Megiddo
Lara takes the gun and pockets it. She steps out and yawns again. "Sure you slept like a rock after your little display."
|
Re: Megiddo
She laughs, somewhat bitterly. "Now you know why I rarely ever do that." She holds her sword and swings it at the ground a few times, leaving clean slices against the soft ground.
|
Re: Megiddo
*Kadino begins to purge the evil blood and burn away its evil... literally. Black blood is pouring out of the dagger wound, burning as it touches the ground. The wolfen body is slowly reforming into a more fox/cat/man looking creature as the dawn sets the horizon aglow.*

Re: Megiddo
Wessen grabs a weapon stowed on the side of his Tandem opposite the rifle. It is a weapon with a stock and a short barrel, after the fashion of a sawed-off shotgun, but with a pump-action reload. However, the barrel is far wider in diameter and it is loaded with explosive ammunition.
As is his custom, Wessen cocks his gun loudly just for effect and speaks up in his grizzliest voice. Let's kill us some Abbis. |
Re: Megiddo
Ahead of the crew... HaVoK had flown far away, toward the capital, reaching it hours before day had broken. He couldn't wait for the humvees...and it would have been several hours before they got there.
If Gale was on his way there, he would cause alot of damage...and that could not happen. He'd learnt alot from the people of the capital...and he himself had faught in claiming it for his people. HaVoK knew the Northan angels didn't believe the abbis still remained, and he also knew that they would underestimate. As soon as he entered the wood and got into the city, he made way for the high altar. ''Talasar...brother in arms and friend, it is good to see you indeed.''Said a high Angel to HaVoK, as soon as he had reached the altar. ''It has been 10 generations since we last talked...why are you now here?'' ''The High archangel Council sent me...They did not fully know why, but they knew it was big. I'm here to fight alongside you once more my friend'' HaVoK said, his face not giving anything away. ''Fight? There has been no fight here for many an age...but...there has been rumor of an archdemon'' He said. ''Michael has been here, he went to hunt the beast but he has sent no news of it to myself'' ''A small squad of people are on their way...they come to help also, i come to warn you so that they would not be destroyed through lack of knoledge'' HaVoK said ''Who are these folk...for we need no help in defending this place...this is the stronghold we have kept for an age.'' ''They are men, Gia herself, and...abbis'' The Highangel laughs. ''They are all dead, no abbis remain, friendly or not'' ''These ARE abbis, and they are here to help...there is another abbis, far more powerfull than we have faught since the start of the war...and he's not on our team'' ''We have a legion of Angels...and you...the warrior of the west...and your worried about one person that doesn't exsist?'' HaVoK remains serious, even though the angel is smirking. ''He took the key of the dark gates...and he's here for the key of the white city'' ''Impossib....'' Then, in the distance...'"Help! It's an Abbis he just killed Alta and-ARGH!"' HaVoK draws his sword and leaps into the air. ''Gale'' |
Re: Megiddo
Rikali lands thankfully next to the cars. "If this place is an outpost, won't it be crawling with Angels? How is Gale going to get in and out of there without a massive battle?"
Riki clambers out of the Hummer and stretches. Her nap had been good, filled with dreams that were-ironically-good. She adjusts Vengeance on her hip and glances at Hayate, then at the others, before going to stand between Wes and Rikali. |
Re: Megiddo
Hayate twirls the pistol around his finger and sticks it back into his pocket. The whole set up was making him more uncomfortable. Places of joy and beauty were certainly not his thing. Angels were not his thing either. Still, if Gale were there, the chances of it having either quaility were probably very low.
Course, that in itself was not a particulary reassuring thought. At least Rikali was back. Having a dragon's firepower would be useful at least. Assuming she's well enough to do anything. With a sigh, he takes up position at the end of the line. [/font] |
Re: Megiddo
One gives Wes a dirty look at his comment on Abbis. But he does not say anything, instead he enters the forest towards Capital. "This place is beautiful, just wait until you guys see it." After a few minutes of walking, they reach a clearing in the woods with a large gate. "What the. . . ?" It seems as though the gate has been ripped off, there are two Angels laying dead near by it. One steps through and finds more corpses. Some of the smaller houses have also been torched down. The place was in ruins. "Damnit, we're too late!" One looks around and finds no sign of Gale, which was not good. "Where is he?!"
|
Re: Megiddo
All of Capital lays in either fire or ruin, some buildings have collapses, or burned down entirely. Lifeless bodies are scattered throughout the streets, which blood flows through freely. Some of the walls are smeared with crimson, but it seemed this area was destroyed awhile ago.
Lara mumbles. "We'll we're right where he wants us it seems." She taps a corpse with her boot. "Reminds me of somewhere, though I lack sympathy here." Hallon shakes his head. "Such needless bloodshed...they couldn't all of tried to fight..." |
Re: Megiddo
One holds the same beliefs and stance as Lara. He's not mad at what happened to the angels, he's more upset that he can't find Gale. He walks around, looking through buildings that are still standing to see if there is anyone alive. "Nothing. Damnit, he got us again."
|
Re: Megiddo
Lara sighs. "Now we get to play hide and seek, wonderful. We better stay togther."
Hallon was scouting around nearby, and when he looked around a corner his eyes widen. "I found someone who isn't dead, maybe there's hope after all." Hallon didn't know it yet, but the Angel was Havok, who had tried to stop Gale when he first attack. It was surprising Gale would leave anyone alive, but the Abbis might of just left him for dead. Either way, he needed help. |
Re: Megiddo
One hurries over to Hallon, and looks at the fallen angel. "It's Havok." One tries to wake up Havok, who was not moving. But it seemed Havok was unconscious. One moved him under a nearby tree so he could sit up. He wasn't sure what else he could do to help Havok, so he left him there to rest.
|
Re: Megiddo
Ayn stands a few feet behind the others at the entrance to the town. The stench had hit her like a punch in the stomach, and she felt weary of moving forward. She swallows, looking at all the destruction, and for the first time in quite a while, she felt afraid.
|
Re: Megiddo
There are no further signs of life yet, an eerie silence lingers in the streets. If anyone was still alive here, it was not obvious. Gale also remains absent, leaving the posibility he left long ago.
Lara shivers uncomfortablly. "This is freaking me out..." |
Re: Megiddo
One spends the next few minutes searching around, he still doesn't find Gale, or any other angels that are alive. "Where the Hell are the Archs here? Aren't they supposed to be watching over here?!" He runs around some more, and reaches a large lake in the middle of Capital. He knew this place because the last time he was here, he met a little girl that was lost, who also happened to be Abbis. . He wondered what happened to her. He grabbed a rock and threw it into the lake. "****! He's not here!"
|
Re: Megiddo
A quiet, faint voice rang out near One. "Not...accurate...he hasn't found it yet.." Zeek coughs up blood, he'd been pinned to a wall with a metal beam. It seemed that he had failed to stop Gale, despite his best efforts. "I just hope you're not...on his side..."
|
Re: Megiddo
He turns to see Zeek. The sight is gruesome, even for One. He hurries over and tries to remove the metal beam. After a few tries, he's not able to remove it. One cups his hand above the beam to try to stop anymore blood loss. "I'm his brother, but I'm not on his side here. Damnit, how long ago did he get here?"
|
Re: Megiddo
Zeek coughs up some blood. "Don't bother...I'm dead anyway...The Abbis came....a few hours..ago...just started destroying everything...later he demanded the...key...the one who had it ran...I'm not sure if he found them..."
|
Re: Megiddo
One let his cupped hands fall to the side, and all the blood that splattered on the floor. This was sickening, One thought. Even though the Angel and the Abbis were enemies, he couldn't help but feel sorry for Zeek. "Where are the ArchAngels around here? And what's the name of the angel that hold the key?"
|
Re: Megiddo
*Kadino's magic has been complete for a short while. Two bodies lay as if dead in a graveyard.*
|
Re: Megiddo
A beam of dark, pure energy crashes into One's side. A merry child's laugh rings out. "I cannot tell you, One Avalon, how long I've been waiting to do that!" The voice is familiar. Very familiar especially to about four of the group.
|
Re: Megiddo
One, having been caught off guard, falls to the side. But just as fast as he falls, he's up on his feet, staff in hand. He does not see who the little girl is, but he knows the voice all too well. "Well, well. If it isn't Rose. . or should I say Roselenna? So I see the brat survived the training. Came to see your mom? She's out there. Yeah, been worried sick. How does that make you feel?" One had been talking with a sharp tongue, to spite Rose.
|
Re: Megiddo
"She worries too much." Rose, or Roselenna, walks out of another room and tosses her hair idly. She hasn't changed much-more muscle, and a more mature look in her eyes. Her clothing is simple, consisting of a plain black tshirt and a pair of pants with chains across the back. An interesting looking scar stars the back of her hand and works its way up her arm, ending in a pink star matching that on her hand. She laughs and walks closer to One. "You're a fool, One. Working against my master will only get you killed with the rest of these idiots. You will all die...die like these Angels." She turns her attention to Zeek. "Poor, pitiful Angel. Dying in misery and pain. That's what you get for standing in the light. Light burns, Angel. Burns and kills." Without a second thought, Rose stabs Fate through Zeek's heart.
|
Re: Megiddo
One's eyes widen as he sees Roselenna stab Zeek. He lunges forward, but there was no point. He pushes Roselenna out of the way. He stares into Zeek's shocked eyes, and then turns around facing Rose. "I see you got some of Gale's more charming qualities. But your master will fail, as will you. You will not be able to beat us."
|
Re: Megiddo
She grins. "I've heard all about your group. A bunch of has beens and nobodys. You're nothing to my master, One. You don't realize how weak you truly are."
|
Re: Megiddo
Lara walks up to One and scoffs. "No Gale, but a lackey instead? How pitiful. Stupid child, this is no place for you."
|
Re: Megiddo
" 'A bunch of has beens and nobodys' Hah, that coming from a little five year old brat that came knocking and begging us to train her? If we're the weak ones, how come Gale is the one going crazy over a dead Siren." He said this, knowing that Rose understood fully what he meant, as she was a resident in the castle when she died. "Now then, are you going to stand there and bitch or are you going to fight me? I'm interested in finding out how much you've learned. . or haven't." He smiles at her. Then he hears someone behind him and notices it's Lara. "Yes yes, this is the one girl I told you about."
|
Re: Megiddo
A lone figure crouches on the steeple of a burning rooftop, silhouetted by flames. He looks poised to leap off at any moment.
Kyushin curses and draws his sword as he scans around the burning city. Wherever Gale was, he couldn't pinpoint it. Normally he could home in on the Abbis' tell-tale energy signature... But here, the air was clogged with the Angel's energy, and unless he was mistaken, someone had so brilliantly employed a jamming technique; his senses were virtually useless. For the first time since he had started toying with Gale, he was truly concerned, if not worried. This time the Key was at stake and he had no idea where the Abbis was. Fury was wrapped in bandages around his gut following the fight with Legion, but still managed to drive himself to the Capital. Rose's appearance surprised him, but even more so when she ran Zeek through. She had gone through hell in New Myria just like the rest of them... Wasn't Rose an ally? This confused him, but only fueled growing aggrevation. "Master?" Gale? "One... What the hell?" |
Re: Megiddo
Rose grins and steps back some. "As you wish, One." Rose jumps back and slashes the air, creating a wave of energy that erupts from Fate and towards One with only a couple of feet between them.
After delivering the attack, she looks and sees Fury. "You're still alive? Yes, Gale is my Master. Haven't you heard the news? I'm the only survivor of New Myria who got a clue and allied myself with the side that's going to win." |
Re: Megiddo
One sidesteps out of the way and flings his arm back, catching the attack in his hand. It formed a ball in his palm. "Look at this, your attack. Your pathetic energy field is in my hands. You're a fool. I'm a Abbissian Scientist who also happened to be a traveler. I know more attacks than you know, and I have researched them all. You're going to try harder if you think dark magic will work again the most powerful warlock race in the universe."
|
Re: Megiddo
Rose quirks an eyebrow and the energy field explodes. "You may be an Abbis and a scientist, but I am the servent of Gale. Once you disappeared, he put me through more rigorous training then you could have imagined for me." She shudders at the haunting memory. "You are a fool to think you can stand up to me. Gale works through me, I am a vessal."
|
Re: Megiddo
Lara trains her gun on Rose and opens fire. "Damn brat, Gale's ****ing all of us over. Don't you understand that?!"
__ ~Elsewhere in the city~ "Hm. It seems they made it. I was hoping to have found it by now. Decided to talk yet?" Gale looks down at the Angel who's head is pinned to the ground by his boot. Gale's vest and gloves are missing, and his white undershirt is stained red, but the blood is not his own. The Angel is silent and Gale increases the weight he's putting on his foot. "Don't make me rip your other wing off. The selfless gimmick is annoying." There's a sudden shift in the nearby rubble, and another Angel tries to sneak away. "...So THAT'S who you were trying to hide." The Angel below Gale kicks him in the leg when he's looking away, throwing him to the ground. "Hurry you need to-ACK" Gale crushes the Angel's head underneath his boot and sends a blast of magic toward the Angel. It strikes its wing and it falls to the streets. Lucky for the Angel, however, he landed close to those who were trying to stop Gale. The Abbis sneered, knowing that he could of lost his chance. He disappears in a worldwind, retreating to a diffrent part of the city before he can be spotted. |
Re: Megiddo
One's head flies back as the explosion goes off. He takes a second or two to recover, and then he begins to chuckle a little. "I'm impressed, you know more than that dumb look on your face lets on." As he was talking, One had been maneuvering his staff behind him, hoping to use the bullet that Lara fired as enough distraction time. He levitated a large rock from the ground behind Rose and sent it flying in the direction of her head.
|
Re: Megiddo
Rose's face never looses the childish look of innocence as she jumps up to a beam hanging from the ceiling. The bullet crashes into the boulder, making it explode. Rose brushes pebbles off of herself. "You're going to really have to do better then that."
|
Re: Megiddo
Ayn had caught up with the rest of them, and after arching an eyebrow at the dead angel, she glances at the child. "Awwwww.. How cute." She crosses her arms and grins. "I do hope you realize what old hags do with their little lackeys once he doesn't need them anymore."
|
Re: Megiddo
"Yes, guess I am underestimating you, aren't I? But don't worry, here's Ayn to back us up." One begins to get serious in the fighting, he moves lightning fast to the left of Rose, and then to the right of her. He sticks his arm out and balls up his fast, moving to strike Rose down.
|
Re: Megiddo
Rose moves, still getting hit but being able to land on her feet. She doesn't even seem to feel the blow. Once on her feet, she is immeditatly off again and bullets at One, Fate held straight forward like a spear. Energy crackles off the tip and opens like a fan.
|
Re: Megiddo
Again, he sidesteps out of the way, this time lifting his knee, sending it into Rose's chin.(consider the age and height difference). Then he grabs her by her hair and punches her, this time connecting well. "Stay down, bitch."
|
Re: Megiddo
*As the blinding dawn arises to its full splendor, Kadino stirs to see that his friend is awake. Blinded as always by the intense source of light, Kadino squints harshly*
"Did I kill us this time Joelan?" Kadino asks. "No my friend, I do not think so. Yet I am amazed that neither of us are dead, yourself most of all." Comes the middling-toned reply of Joelan the Foxen. "I assume I will have the magical headache again soon... and I owe a debt to one whose heart is pained..." *The two look solemnly at the musky and overgrown graveyard they lie in, wrapped in a melancholic but restful nostalgia* (holy full hour of exercise! I'm really tired!) |
Re: Megiddo
Sensing a spike in activity in the mess, Kyushin turns in the direction of the group. Oh. Them. Nuisances. He sneers and returns to his fruitless search. That's when Gale teleported, giving a perfect pinpoint on his old and new position. Why didn't he just put up a big red light? Well, Gale didn't know anyone was looking. At least not this way. He resheathes his katana blade and keeps it in hand. In a split second, Fury One disappears off the rooftop and silently materializes behind Gale.
